Sometimes, the darkness that covers the present moment is so heavy and painful, that even though we know God still watches over us, even though we believe that in the end, all things would work together for good, we can't help but feel unbearable sorrow. Why must things happen this way? Why this indescribable grief?


And though we know that there will be an end to the night, even though we believe the sun will surely rise again, we can't help but weep. For though such dark hours will certainly pass, it seems to pass so slowly. And while it lasts, eternity itself seemed to have arrived at our very door. A night of eternal sorrow. A winter that refuses to surrender into spring.


What can we do but wait 'til the night is over? What can we hold on to but prayer? And even though our prayers seem empty and dry, we trust still that the One who hears them lives! He is ever the same. He has sustained us in all our past woes, and He will carry us through though we may not know when, though we may not understand how, and though the only grace we feel is the strength to hold on for one moment more.






IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME




When grief looms over like a cloud,

and your heart gets broken,

and your spirit’s down,

it all seems like happiness

is but a distant dream,

and it loses its meaning

where it cannot be seen.




And we are lost where it’s dark,

without a song in our hearts,

and we couldn’t believe

it would all pass away.

If we could only hold on to a rhyme,

which could make us remember the light,

then morning might not be so far away,

IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME.




If we could imagine once more,

what joys are instore

with the rising of another day;

if we could only hear again

that gentle voice in the wind

reminding us that dawn is already near –

won’t we break out into songs

and cheer each other on

and say IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME?

Won’t we be able to bear

the darkness we are in,

knowing it couldn’t help but end

And though the dawn is yet to come,

What will you do now? what are you going to do for the rest of your life? what do you want to do? 

Everyone who has watched their child go through High School, now they are picking out schools, How in the world could they possibly and truly know that answer, they have yet to experience life outside the protection of their parents, for some the pressure to know what they will do next is to much. However they will get a chance to explore many options, my thoughts are as follows:

Currently as I  continue my education In Atlanta I realize how much self discipline  it takes to show up every day and do the work. It is a reward that will come later, not so much in the present. I find it difficult to say the least , AND truly grateful for the opportunity. I'm  reminded everyday that College rt out of high school teaches our kids so much more than just books and lectures, it teaches self discipline, how to get along with others from different cultures and values, how to work toward something without the instant gratification, character and accountability that is an extenuation of what we have taught them the 18 years they were home.  I'm in my 40s and I am  reminded of all the things I could have saved myself the trouble if I had  made  better decisions at the time,  I'm also grateful to get to do it now, along my son Austin who is in College, And Sydney who is in high school and college, At Least I get the opportunity to see them do what I was not willing to do at my chance, For that and many other opportunities that I am rendered speechless ,,,,"PRICELESS"

Truth, everyone can handle the truth. Time is stamped in forever history by truth. It will set you free.

The Heart of a LIE

History is what happened, history is a collection of facts.. the truth.

If you speak the truth, those words are stamped into history and as a result you no longer carry the burden of those words …

A lie is much different.   

If you lie it goes nowhere, rejected by the natural law of historical truths. You will carry those words with you, watching them manifest into an entangling menace, lurking and biding its time…                                                                   

The lie expands indefinitely with every passing moment, through this expansion a weight that you must carry begins to bare down on your heart and conscience.

A lie walks with you, sleeps with you, it never leaves your side. It can’t. It may have to remind you of what you said yesterday, last week or last year. A lie will manipulate those who choose to resort to it, to side with it. 

The lie will insist that it needs protection. It will try to convince you that it is protecting others, those closest to you. A lie is a liar. A liar that can convince your mind but never your conscience. 

Your conscience knows only truth. It understands what a lie really wants. Your conscience whispers what is right and just warning you of the lie’s selfish hidden agenda that will inevitably resonate itself from the lies intentions into its mischievous action.

A lie wants one thing and it will not rest until it becomes utterly satisfied… it demands recognition. It wants the world to see it for what it really is… Nothing.

A lie is empty, it is nothing, it has no tangible meaning or value because it is something that never existed. 

It is the promise that never came to pass or the event that never really happened. 

A lie cannot rest. It is an eager whirlwind of unthinkable, unimaginable, unstoppable, despicable and irreversible energy that will only come to a grinding halt when the truth severs its very existence. 

The truth smashes through the pulsing lie, penetrating it’s heart, it’s life force, it’s very impotent existence as it stamps itself, the truth, into the delicate fabric of time, thus extinguishing the lie forever

Our words are powerful. Our words can create life, inspire a child, change the world we live in from that moment on. Don’t waste them on a lie.

As much as truth seems to hurt in that particular moment the superficial pain from that truth is nothing in comparison to the longsuffering that is induced by a tactful lie. 

Time will reward those who rely on the truth, slowly relieving you of whatever residual pain your are experiencing while it punishes those who resort to tarnishing the pristine slate of history with their lies.

Truth lasts forever and lies never go away

Thank you for taking the time to read our devotion, Several points touched and agreed because it did line up with Gods living word, Our Heavenly Father speaks to us in the season we are in, and able to discern, we also need to follow the word in every area, Because when we bring someone to be offended then we are accountable, Our Lord says "cast our burdens on Him, for His yoke is easy and His burden in light" I am unable to bare Gods burden because He took all our burdens and made them His own when He was crucified for our transgressions , and beaten for our iniquity. When Jesus was telling his deciples this James and Johns mother asked " When you die, can my two boys sit on the right side and the left side of you in Heaven, Jesus replied Woman You know NOT what you ask, Can they drink from the cup that I AM... For the word says that we do not know what is in the hearts of Man, Only God can truly judge mans heart, We being human can only judge by the fruit, meaning Goodness, Kindness, Faith, Service, Patience, Hope, joy, and Love, The Bible defines Love As
Patient , Kind, Endures, never SUffers wrong, it is not selfish, Haughty, or rude, and LOVE ALWAYS BELIEVES THE BEST >>> The Lord says, that anything we do in the dark WILL BE BROUGHT TO THE LIGHT and He is our Vindicator, Apostle Paul wrote that this one thing I know is to be content whether I am abase or abound, and do not hold other men in High Esteem for we are all bound to the Earthly Realm, We all have to bear our own Cross, Lose our Reputation, be ridiculed and lied about, He even asked God to remove the thorn from His side, however God did not remove it because it reminded Him daily of His need for Jesus, Paul said some come to sow seeds, some come to water, but only God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob will bring the harvest, true Godly love feels like chastisement to someone who is sinning in any area, The Lord continues daily to have me check my motive in any and all relationships with my brothers and sisters in Christ because relationships do not work without Gods love motivating it and His Grace giving us the power to walk in it.
